Abstract

This article essentially focuses on issues related to social piety that occurs above religious symbolism. The research method used is a literature review. The results of this research are: The presence of religion among humans by its owner, is actually intended as a vehicle and medium of enlightenment for humans so that they can do good to others. In social reality, religion, as understood by its adherents, often brings various benefits, in addition, it can also give rise to social conflict. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new interpretation. A person's piety cannot be measured by their obedience to divine rites, but also by their social rites.
